Gifts from the Heart

There are times when a gift is given for no special reason. it is just to say "I care." The gift may not have a cash value but it does have heart value. These gifts are priceless.

What type of person is the recipient? What do they like to do? Is this person ill or having a difficult time at this moment in their lives? Is it something that your parents or grandparents or a neighbor or a family friend can no Gifts from the Heartlonger do for themselves? Mowing the lawn or providing a lawn service or washing the car can make a world of difference to them. There are a number of things you can do:

  • Baby-sit for an evening and let your friends have a night out.
  • Spend a weekend at your friends home babysitting the kids while they take a much needed vacation.
  • If your friend has a dog and is unable to walk it for a while, volunteer to do so for a week or month.
  • If you are physically able, volunteer to weed a neighbor's garden or prune their shrubs if they can not.
  • For a special friend, you may give them a manicure or a pedicure. You can also give them a good back rub or massage their feet. Take along a bottle of lotion in their favorite scent. This is especially good for someone who is ill and has to stay in bed during their illness.
  • For that special someone you live with, serving breakfast in bed is always a treat and continues to say "You are special." It is also nice to clean up afterwards.

When you give a gift of love, your recipient will always remember it.
